Greattypographyhasalwaysbeenaconversationbetweenwordsandthespacearoundthem.Ontheprintedpageacolumnoftextwouldbendgracefullyaroundanillustration,adropcap,aphotographsetintothemargin.Theeyefollowedthecontourandthepagefeltcomposedratherthanpoured.Thewebmostlyforgothowtodothis.Textbecamerectanglesstackedinsideotherrectangles,andimageswerepushedaboveorbelowthewordsinsteadoflivingamongthem.Layoutsgrewtidy,andalittlelifeless.Thiscomponentbringstheoldcraftback.DropinatransparentPNGorSVGandtheparagraphwrapsarounditsrealsilhouette,notitsboundingbox,slippingintoeveryhollowandhuggingeverycurve.Dragashapeacrossthecanvas,oruploadoneofyourown,andthetextreflowsbeneathyourcursorinrealtime.
